Dr. Linda Hegstrand
Medical Director
Dr. Hegstrand earned both MD and PhD (biochemistry) degrees from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and has postdoctoral training at Yale University with a Nobel Laureate. Her bachelor’s degree is in chemistry from Hope College. She also has extensive training in nutritional and energy medicine.
She is a board certified and licensed physician. Her medical clinic is the Complete Wellness Center in Grand Rapids, MI, where she is medical director and actively involved in treating patients who frequently come to her after having been to a dozen or more health care providers saying, “If you cannot help me, no one can.”
Dr. Hegstrand is also Medical Director of the Blue Heron Academy. The foundation of the Blue Heron Academy is manual medical medicine. This has involved her in structural medicine and paved her path to joining Advanced Spine & Posture as their Medical Director.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children and 4 young granddaughters. She is teaching them her skills in many sports including tennis, volleyball, basketball, softball, sailing, kayaking, skiing, ice skating, etc.
